News & Notes Following Temple's 24-13 loss at Houston

Temple is now 10-3 tying the 1979 unit for the most wins in school history.

Senior LB Tyler Matakevich once again led the Owls in tackles (this time he shared the lead with SS Will Hayes). He is the only FBS player to lead his team in tackles in every game this season. His eight stops give him 124 for the season and 481 for his career. He is within striking distance of Steve Conjar, Temple's all-time leader at 492.

Junior QB P.J. Walker finished the day with 287 yards on 1926-44 passing and 1 TD with 1 interception. He has now thrown a TD pass in 12 straight games. This season he has thrown for 2,736 yards and 19 TDs with just 7 INTs. The 2,736 yards is now the best in the TU record books surpassing Henry Burris' 2,716 set in 1994.

Robby Anderson has 12 catches for 150 yards and one TD. He became the first Owl since 1972 to record 12 catches in a game, the second most in team history. His 64 catches and 873 yards in a season are second and fourth, respectively, in program history. He needs 12 catches and 92 yards to set the new standards. He was the first player to reach 150 yards in a game since RB Jahad Thomas did so at Houston last year.

Austin Jones 20-for-25 in field goals is currently the best percentage (.800) of any Owl kicker to score 11 or more FGs in a season. He is two field goals away from the single-season record.
