Countdown to Spring Game - One Week Away

PHILADELPHIA -- The Owls practiced today, wrapping up their fourth week spring football.
On a beautiful morning, Chodoff Field was packed with recruits and high school coaches looking to get an early glimpse of the 2015 Temple Owls. The team took part in a scrimmage with officials and both the offense and defense had their moments. But head coach Matt Rhule was disappointed in the overall performance. Said Rhule, "There were some good things there but It's not where I want it to be."
Redshirt senior WR John Christopher made a number of plays. His class schedule does not allow for him to make all the practices but when he is with the team he always shines. "He's a great kid, a great student, a great athlete and we've enjoyed having him around.. Whenever he's been out here he makes plays….if we had 100 guys with his same attitude, we would never lose."
The next practice will take place on Tuesday, April 21. The annual Cherry & White Game will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, on Chodoff Field at Edberg Olson Hall.
The Cherry & White game will be part of Alumni Weekend on the campus of Temple University. Fans will have the opportunity to declare their allegiance by choosing Team Cherry or Team White. Fans of each team can display their allegiance by wearing a free t-shirt given to the first 500 fans of each team. At the end of the game, the winning team's fans will get a special prize.

- Gates will open at Noon, and admission is free to the public.
- Get there early for the Street Fair – taking place on Diamond Street (between 10th and 11th) beginning at 11 a.m. – for music, food, clowns, face painters and more!
- Temple Athletics gear will be available for purchase including jerseys, t-shirts and more during the Street Fair! Please note all sales are cash only.
- The first public sale of 2015 Temple Football season tickets will take place on site at the Cherry & White game.
- No chairs of any kind will be allowed inside the gates of the Edberg-Olson Football Complex for the Spring Game. Limited bleacher seating will be available for fans.
