PHILADELPHIA - Temple's cross country teams took a Sunday morning to volunteer on the course of the 10th Annual Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run on April 19, while still admist of the outdoor track and field season.Â
The trails at Valley Forge National Park are ones Temple trains on regularly, which helped them greatly with their volunteer efforts. The Temple athletes helped guide runners along the course and cheered them on along the way.Â
"This was the second year our cross country team volunteered as race marshals for the 5-Mile RevRun at Valley Forge National Park," said coach James Snyder. "Proceeds from the event benefit the National Park Service to help maintain some of the trails where our distance runners train. It was a beautiful morning at the park where we helped guide over 1,200 runners who were out on the course."
