Countdown To Spring Game - The Final Practice

PHILADELPHIA – The Owls practiced today, finishing their 14th of 15 spring practices.
This was the last practice for the team before the annual Cherry & White Game on Saturday, April 25. The game will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, on Chodoff Field at Edberg Olson Hall.
Even though practices didn't end the way he wanted them to, head coach Matt Rhule is still pleased with his team and their improvements over the spring.
"I feel good. As I told the guys, the last two days haven't been our best days. They've been good days, but they haven't been our best," said Rhule. "But I'm proud of our guys. They've worked really hard this winter, this spring. They've done all we've asked them to do, so it's nice to finish this way."
With the defense and offense going to head-to-head on Saturday, both sides will be playing for more than just bragging rights.
"I'm ready to see who can compete. We have some stakes on the line in terms of who wins and who loses," said Rhule. "The winners get to sleep in on Monday and the losers have to come out and clean Diamond Street."
The Cherry & White game will be part of Alumni Weekend on the campus of Temple University. Fans will have the opportunity to declare their allegiance by choosing Team Cherry or Team White. Fans of each team can display their allegiance by wearing a free t-shirt given to the first 500 fans of each team. At the end of the game, the winning team's fans will get a special prize.
· Gates will open at Noon, and admission is free to the public.
· Get there early for the Street Fair – taking place on Diamond Street (between 10th and 11th) beginning at 11 a.m. – for music, food, clowns, face painters and more!
· Temple Athletics gear will be available for purchase including jerseys, t-shirts and more during the Street Fair! Please note all sales are cash only.
· The first public sale of 2015 Temple Football season tickets will take place on site at the Cherry & White game.
· No chairs of any kind will be allowed inside the gates of the Edberg-Olson Football Complex for the Spring Game. Limited bleacher seating will be available for fans.
