Women's Tennis Serves Local Community
4.6.15 | Women's Tennis, Outreach
PHILADELPHIA - This Easter weekend, the women's tennis team set down their racquets and helped served those in the Philadelphia community.
The ladies visited the Sunday Breakfast Resuce Mission to help serve meals to those in need. This is the third year that both the women's and men's teams have volunteered at the rescue.
The third-oldest rescue in the country, Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission has been committed to helping the homeless in the city of Philadelphia since 1878. They offer a meal service program, with three meals a day, and men's shelter in Center City, while providing a transitional home for women in Germantown.
While the teams continue to serve at TU Pavilion on North Broad, they will also continue their surrounding community.
"We will continue to support this great organization and look forward to their next event," said Mauro.
