PHILADELPHIA – As students prepare to begin the 2015 Fall semester, Temple University will hold Temple Night at the Phillies on Wednesday, August 19, at Citizens Bank Park when the Philadelphia Phillies host the Toronto Blue Jays. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Fans attending the game will have a chance to meet and receive autographs from Temple student-athletes and the spirit squad at the First Base Plaza before the game. Plus, Owls' senior All-America candidate linebacker Tyler Matakevich will throw out the first pitch!
Incidentally Matakevich, who is on the Watch List for the Rotary Lombardi, Chuck Bednarik, and Butkus Awards and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, was more highly recruited as a baseball player than a football player.
Fans can enjoy the game sitting among current student-athletes by purchasing discounted tickets within the Temple section (Sections 201-205) for just $10 (a savings of $20)!
