Jordan Nash Receives Rookie of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Temple women's soccer freshman goalkeeper Jordan Nash was named Rookie of the Week by the American Athletic Conference for the week ending in August 24.
In the Owls season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson on August 21, Nash tallied two saves in the 90th minute of the game. The rookie stopped a FDU penalty kick and a rebounded shot in the last seconds of the game to preserve the 3-0 shutout.
Senior Paula Jurewicz also received American Athletic Conference weekly honors, as she was named to the honor roll for her performance this weekend. Jurewicz, who is returning to the field from a season-ending injury in 2014, scored the opening goals in the game against FDU and Temple's 5-0 rout of Delaware State on August 23.
