Women’s Tennis Concludes Play at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Temple women's tennis team finished their final day of competition at the Princeton Invitational, competing in a singles match against city rival Penn.
"The girls played a lot of opponents at a very high level this weekend. The competition was extremely tough and there were a lot of good matches," said head coach Steve Mauro. "I believe this weekend will help give the girls confidence in future matches."
Senior Minami Okajima was the only Owl to pick up a win at her flight as she defeated Nicole Berkman, 6-3, 6-1. Junior Dina Karina challenged Luba Vazhenina at the fifth flight, but ultimately lost 6-7 (5), 6-7(2).
The ladies will next compete in the 19th Annual Cissie Leary Invitational, hosted by Penn on October 2-4.
