Women’s Soccer Hosts UConn for Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer will host the UConn Huskies for its final home game of the season as the team honors its four graduating seniors.
 
The Owls come into the match with a record of 3-13 (0-6 American), while the Huskies come in leading the conference at 13-2-1 (5-0-1 American).
 
Temple's offense is led by junior Gabriella McKeown. The North Cape May, N.J. native has three goals and two assists on the 2016 season. Redshirt-junior Kayla Cunningham leads the team in shots with 31.
 
In net for the Owls is sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Nash. Nash has compiled a conference-leading 90 saves. Nash has a goals against average of 1.41 and a save percentage of 81.1%.
 
The Huskies' offense is led by the combination of Stephanie Ribeiro and Rachel Hill. Ribeiro has a team-leading 15 goals, 11 assists and 41 points. Hill adds 12 goals, five assists, and 29 points.
 
In goal for UConn is Emily Armstrong. Armstrong has 65 saves on the season with a goals against average of 0.80 and a save percentage of 83.3%.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES…
 
The Huskies lead the all-time series against the Owls, 3-0. The teams last met during the 2015 season where the UConn took the victory 1-0 in Connecticut.
 
UP NEXT…
 
Temple will head on the road for its last road trip of the season as they take on the East Carolina Pirates. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
