Boumerhi Wins Special Teams Player of the Week Award

PHILADELPHIA - Temple kicker Aaron Boumerhi has been named the American Athletic Conference special teams player of the week for his week 9 performance against USF. The freshman kicker went 3-of-3 on field goals, ranging from 22, 35and a long of 42 yards, while also going 5-for-5 on extra points. Also, sophomore running back Ryquell Armstead was named to the conference's weekly Honor Roll for his huge day, rushing for 210 yards and two touchdowns. Armstead had a career-long 76-yard run as well, averaging 10.5 yards per carry.
The Owls will next take on the Cincinnati Bearcats in a home matchup at Lincoln Financial Field this upcoming Saturday (10/29). The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.
