Martin-Oguike Wins AAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA - Temple defensive lineman Praise Martin-Oguike has been named the American Athletic Conference defensive player of the week for his week 12 performance against East Carolina University. The senior had a dominant day in the trenches, accounting for 2.0 sacks, 5 solo tackles, as well as a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

Senior running back Jahad Thomas was also named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for his performance against ECU. Thomas accounted for 152 yards on 24 carries, scoring two touchdowns on the ground in the process.

Temple (9-3) will travel to Annapolis this upcoming Saturday (12/3) to take on Navy (10-2) in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The game will kickoff at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast on ABC.
