Women's Tennis Shuts Down Coppin State, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA – To kick off their official home season, the Temple women's tennis team defeated Coppin State, 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls move to 8-4 on the season.
The Owls took the doubles point off a 6-1 win at the first flight from Dina Karina and Monet Stuckey-Willis and a 6-4 second-flight victory from Alina Abdurakhimova and Minami Okajima.
In singles, Stuckey-Willis and Dina Karina both had shutout set victories at the second and fourth flight, respectively. Anais Nussaume, Yana Khon and Mariana Bedon all also picked up victories for Temple in the win.
The Owls will head on the road to Catonsville, Maryland, where they will take on UMBC on April 3 at 2:00 p.m.
