Temple Football Hosts Community Service Event
5.25.16 | Football
PHILADELPHIA – On Sunday, June 5, 2016, the Temple Football team will host a free community service event at its Edberg-Olson Hall practice facility for interested youth football players currently enrolled in K-8th grade.
The event will be led by Temple coaches and active players to educate the attendees on proper beginner and advanced football skills and techniques. Led by head coach Matt Rhule, the Temple coaching staff has over 200 years of coaching experience to share with the local youths. They will share proper tackling techniques, throwing mechanics, and more, using leverage, speed and agility.
"As a group, we have a passion for the game of football and want to share that with the next generation of players," said Rhule. "We hope to accomplish two things – teach proper safe fundamentals and have a good time. Football is a great sport that has the ability to offer so many things that can help shape these kids as they grow."
