Owl’s Place Three On 2016-17 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List

Philadelphia, Pa. – Temple landed three seniors on the 2016-17 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List in running back Jahad Thomas, defensive lineman Haason Reddick, and offensive tackle Dion Dawkins Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas earned first-team all-conference honors, leading the team the team with 1,262 rushing yards, 1,677 all-purpose yards, and score 114 points last season. He ranked 30th overall in the NCAA in all-purpose yards, second in kickoff touchdowns, third in the American in rushing yards/game, fourth in rushing touchdowns, and fifth in points for non-kickers. His 1,677 all-purpose yards ranked third in school history, while the senior's 1,262 rushing ranked fifth.
Reddick at starting defensive end earned third team All-American Athletic Conference by Phil Steele and all-conference honorable mention selection as well. On the field, he finished second among defensive linemen in tackles (45) and sacks (5.0), and first on the squad in quarterback hurries (5.0). Reddick also ended the season ninth in country at tackles for a loss (12.5), while adding a force fumble at home against Charlotte.
Dawkins at left tackle was part of an offensive line that ranked second in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) in time of possession, earning the unit Joe Moore Award Honor Roll recognition as top offensive line in the country. Individually, Dawkins was named to the fourth team All-America and first team All-American Athletic Conference by Phil Steele, while being recognized as an ECAC All-Star and second team all-conference honoree as a junior.
"The release of our watch list signifies the opening kickoff for the Reese's Senior Bowl," said Reese's Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage. "We are looking forward to evaluating these prospects over the next several months in trying to find the best 110 players in America."
The 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl week officially begins on Tuesday, January 24, and concludes with the 68th game on January 28, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. Ala. The practices are televised live by ESPN and the game is broadcast live on NFL Network at 2:30 p.m. ET.
