Women’s Soccer to Stay on Road Against Rider on Thursday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (1-2) will travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. Thursday to take on the Rider Broncs (2-1). The Owls are coming into the match after falling in a close battle this past Sunday against La Salle, 1-0. For the Broncs, they are riding a two-game win streak after taking down Farleigh Dickinson and Wagner.
This game will be Temple's third-consecutive away game after hosting their season opener against Drexel. The Owls started on the road against Delaware State where they picked up a 5-0 victory. The team then traveled to La Salle this past Sunday.
Heading into the match against Rider, junior Gabriella McKeown and sophomore Sarah McGlinn are tied for the team lead in goals with one. McKeown is also the leading point scorer with five.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Nash is having a good start to her season despite a 1-2 record. So far, Nash has saved 19 shots with three goals against. The Brick, N.J. native recorded a shutout against Delaware State in the team's 5-0 rout of the Hornets.
