Women’s Soccer Heads to Lehigh for Tuesday Match

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (3-6) will head to Lehigh (6-0-1) on Tuesday to finish out its non-conference schedule. The match is set for a 5:00 p.m. start at Ulrich Sports Complex in Bethlehem, Pa.
The Owls are coming off a 2-0 victory over NJIT on Sunday, which marked their first win at the new Temple Sports Complex. In their victory, senior Cydney Niedermeyer scored her first career Temple goal and freshman Morgan Morocco added her second.
Temple is led offensively by junior Gabriella McKeown who has three goals, two assists and eight points on the 2016 campaign. McKeown leads the team in all three categories.
In net, sophomore Jordan Nash continues to play well. Nash has posted 38 saves on the year and three shutouts. Heading into Tuesday's match, Nash has a goals against average of 1.17.
For the Mountain Hawks, they are led offensively by Tori Pantaleo. Pantaleo leads the team with four goals and eight points on its undefeated season thus far.
The talk of the Mountain Hawks has been freshman goalkeeper Sam Miller. Miller is coming off of a week where she was named NSCAA Division I College Player of the Week and Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week. Miller has notched seven shutouts on the season with a nation leading zero goals against.

The all-time series between these two teams dates back to the first year of competition for the Temple women's soccer program. Temple beat Lehigh 8-0 in 1991 to start the series history. Most recently, the Mountain Hawks took down the Owls 3-2 in 2015. The all-time record is tied 4-4-1.
