Niedermeyer Named to American Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Cydney Niedermeyer has been named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll for her play in this past weekend's matches against Mount St. Mary's and NJIT.
 
Despite losing to Mount St. Mary's, Niedermeyer played all 90 minutes as one of the driving forces on the Owls defense.
 
Against NJIT, Niedermeyer took two shots and netted the game-winning goal in her two-point effort. The score marked Niedermeyer's first career Division I goal since transferring to Temple from Division II school, Nova Southeastern.
 
The North Fort Meyers, Fla. native played 75 minutes in the Owls 2-0 victory over the NJIT Highlanders, while continuing to be a disruptive force on defense.
 
Overall, Niedermeyer has started all nine games of the 2016 campaign, playing 776 total minutes.
 
Temple is back in action tomorrow night as the travel to Lehigh for a 5:00 p.m. match.
