News and Notes Following Temple's 28-13 loss to Army…

QB Phillip Walker threw for 168 yards giving him 7,542 for his career and moving him ahead of Henry Burris (7,495) to become Temple's all-time leader in that category. Walker is the school's all-time leader in wins by a starting QB (18), TD passes (52), and completions (590). With 1,048 attempts, he trails only Burris (1,136) and Mike McGann (1,050).

Kicker Austin Jones converted 2-of-2 field goal attempts. The junior is third on the school's all-time list with 38 behind Brandon McManus (60) and Bill Wright (46). With 189 career points, Jones is just one point shy of tying Cap Poklemba for 6th in the school record books. The school mark of 338 points is held by McManus.

LB Avery Williams led the defense with a career-high 12 tackles. He became the first Temple player other than Tyler Matakevich to lead the team in tackles since game 11 in 2014 (Cincinnati). Matakevich was the only FBS player last season to lead his team in tackles in every game.
