PHILADELPHIA - On Tuesday Temple men's soccer (6-6-1) will host non-conference opponent NJIT (8-5-2), coming off Saturday's 2-1 win against Cincinnati. The match is set for a 3 p.m. start.

Scouting the Owls
> Temple's two goals on Oct. 14 against Cincinnati came from senior Joonas Jokinen and junior Hermann Doerner.
> Doerner's goal against Cincinnati was , his first of the season, was assisted by redshirt senior Mark Grasela.
> Grasela was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the week on Oct. 9. The defender scored a pair of goals on Oct. 3 as the Owls put away Drexel, 4-0.
> Freshman Alan Camacho Soto, reigning Soccer Six and American Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week was named Philadelphia Soccer Six Rookie of the Week, also for his efforts against the Dragons. The freshman scored within the first 12 seconds of the match after capitalizing on a Drexel turnover.
> Sophomore Thibault Candia is the Owls' leading scorer with five goals so far in 2017. Camacho Soto follows with four. Grasela and Jokinen have scored three and two, respectively. Doerner has one.

Scouting the Highlanders
> NJIT is coming of a 4-1 win over Jacksonville.
> The Highlanders' leading scorer in 2017 is senior Mamadou Guirassy. Guirassy has tallied 12 goals for NJIT, the most goals in the nation. The senior has two assists.
> Other goal contributors in 2017 are Danny Cordeiro (3) and Pablo Jimenez (1).
> Goalkeeper Victor Pujades has started in all 14 games for the Highlanders and has logged 68 saves so far.
> NJIT's 4-1 win over Jacksonville secured its spot in the 2017 ASUN Conference Tournament to begin Nov. 3.
