Crew Dominates at Frostbite Regatta

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- The Temple men's crew team ended their fall racing season in winning fashion, competing the the 2017 Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta.
MEDALS ON MEDALS
> The Owls entered seven races and won seven medals, including winning both varsity eight races.
> Temple's overall medal haul was three golds, two silvers, and two bronze medals.
> The Owls were originally schedule to participate in four freshman events, but they were canceled due to low temperatures.
VARSITY EIGHT
> The cherry and white won both of the varsity eight races they contested.
> The Owls' "A" boat topped crews from Drexel, Delaware, Ithaca, and Lafayette, recording a time of 6:09.57.
> Temple's "B" boat raced past Delaware, Drexel, Loyola, NY Maritime, and Binghamton to finish in 6:14.58.
JV EIGHTS
> The Owls were two-for-two with medals in the JV eights races.
> Temple's "A" boat finished with a bronze in the first flght, recording a time of 6:44.75.
> The Owls' "B" boat earned silver in the second flight, finishing in 6:24.00.
MEN'S FOUR
> Temple won medals at all three flights they entered.
> The Owls' "A" boat grabbed a bronze medal, finishing in 7:23.30.
> Temple's "B" boat earned the silver medal, clocking in at 7:42.52.
> The "C" boat won its flight, finishing in 7:24.15, nearly eight seconds ahead of second place Lafaytette.

> Temple's fall racing season concluded with Saturday's event.
