Cross Country Rounds Out the Season at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - On Saturday Nov. 18, men's and women's cross country will race at the IC4A and ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, N.Y. Temple will be represented in three races this weekend: The IC4A 8K Coaches Race to begin at 10:30 a.m., the ECAC 5K Championship Race to start at 11:15 a.m., and the IC4A 8K Championship Race set for an 11:45 a.m. start.
Scouting Men's Cross Country
> In its last race, Temple men's cross country finished seventh as a team at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. The seventh place finish marked the squad's highest-ever finish in the region.
> The Owls' top runner at the Mid-Atlantic Regional was graduate student Marc Steinsberger who was the first to earn All-Region honors for his top-25 performance since 2014 when Matt Kacyon placed 20th.
> The Owls will close out the season ranked seventh in the region by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Scouting Women's Cross Country
> Women's cross country enters race weekend coming off a top 10 team finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Nov. 10. The tenth place performance was the program's highest ever finish in the region and higher than the team's No. 13 ranking in USTFCCCA polls.
> Temple's top finisher at the regional meet was junior Katie Leisher who completed the women's 6K in 20:57.7 to come in 32nd place out of 193 runners, a season best.
> In the same race, sophomore Grace Moore reached a career best time of 20:59.7.
