Falcone Named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

Senior midfielder Elana Falcone from Temple women's soccer team has been named to the 2017 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Soccer Team. Falcone is one of 11 student-athletes earning Academic All-Area honors. The team is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
This season, Falcone started all 18 matches for the Owls and was third on the team in points with nine, scoring four goals and adding one assist for the season. She has Played in 69 games and started in 52 games at midfielder for her career and has 26 career points, scoring nine goals and eight assists which has her tied for ninth all-time in Owls' history for assists. Falcone was named to the Temple's Presidents Honor Roll in 2015-16 for earning a GPA above 3.5.
