Women's Tennis Sweeps FDU 7-0 in Friday Night Dual

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis was able to capture its fourth sweep of the 2017 season with a 7-0 victory over FDU on Friday night. The Owls were able to take all victories in both doubles and singles flights to post their fifth overall win of the season.
Yana Khon and Monet Stuckey-Willis lead off the night in the first doubles position, grabbing a 6-4 victory of Knight's pair Tatiana Eftenoiu and Kat Pavlovic. Alina Abdurakhimova and Dina Karina followed up with a win over Marta Ruszczymska and Shreya Pasricha , 6-2. The Owl pair of Mariana Bedon and Anais Nussaume closed out the doubles play with a 6-1 win over Patricia Efteroiu and Sabrina Helm.
Aburakhimova led off the singles play once again and set off a string of six consecutive singles wins from Stuckey-Willis, Khon, Karina, Bedon and Cecilia Castelli.
The Owls will hit the road next for a dual match at Georgetown.
