Fitzgerald Named to American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA - Temple senior Feyonda Fitzgerald was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. The guard led #25 Temple to a 2-0 week, as the Owls took a two-game lead in the race for second in the conference.

Fitzgerald averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.5 steals in wins over SMU and #22 USF. On Wednesday against SMU, she scored 17 points on 7-of-14 (50%) from the field, adding seven assists and five steals in a 66-52 win. On Sunday at #22 USF, Fitzgerald led the Owls with 23 points (10 in the fourth quarter), adding seven assists and a pair of steals. For the week, Fitzgerald shot 45.2% from the field and 40% from three.

The action continues Wednesday, Feb. 22 as Temple takes on UCONN in Storrs, Conn.
