Women's Tennis Falls to JMU 4-3

PHILADELPHIA – Looking to continue big conference success last weekend, Temple women's tennis faced off with non-conference opponent James Madison on Friday evening. The Owls went on to drop the close match 4-3 despite big doubles victories.
Monet Stuckey-Willis and Yana Khon, along with Anais Nussaume and Mariana Bedon, posted strong victories in the second and third doubles positions. Stuckey-Willis and Khon topped their opposing duo of Rebecca Harris and Emma Petersen 6-0.
Trading wins back and forth during the singles flights, Stuckey-Willis was able to pull the first win in the second position against Rachel Nelson. Dina Karina grabbed another singles victory in the fourth position against Kimmy Herrock but was unable to give the Owls a full team win.
The Owls return to action on Saturday afternoon as they take on St. Francis at 2 p.m.
