Football Awards First Single Digit Jersey of 2017

Temple football has a tradition of giving out the single-digit jerseys to the toughest members of the team. To be awarded one of those coveted numbers, one has to be Temple TUFF – to display the highest character and leadership on and off the field.
Redshirt senior WR Keith Kirkwood was awarded the #5 on Tuesday, March 7, by head coach Geoff Collins in a team meeting. What made this even more special was that Jahad Thomas, the player who wore #5 for the past two seasons, was there to hand it to Kirkwood.
