7.26.17 | Women's Lacrosse

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - For the 11th year in a row, Temple lacrosse has been recognized as an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). In addition, seven Owls have been named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll - a BIG EAST Conference record.

In order to be eligible for the individual honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The Owls are one of 92 Division I teams to earn Zag/IWLCA Academic Squad distinction for the 2016-17 school year. In order to qualify, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA. In all, 308 schools across Divisions I, II and III earned the honor.

No other BIG EAST team had as many individuals recognized as Temple, and in fact the next closest totals were four behind the Owls.
