PHILADELPHIA - One promotion and one new hire have been announced by Kevin Copp, Assistant AD/Video Services for Temple University Athletics. Scott Hartkorn has been promoted from Video Production Coordinator to Video Production Manager, while Richie Raspa joins the staff full-time as a Video Production Coordinator.

Hartkorn, a 2010 graduate of Temple with a degree in broadcasting, communications and mass media, first joined the athletics staff as a video production coordinator in August, 2015. In his new role, Hartkorn will oversee live game production and serve as technical director for in-venue video boards at the Liacouras Center, McGonigle Hall and the Temple Sports Complex, with his responsibilities to include hiring and training staff for those productions.

"Scott has been the backbone of OwlsTV since he was hired," said Copp, "and it could not be more fitting to see him rise into this newly-created managerial role. In addition to continuing his fabulous work as a shooter and editor, he will now oversee all of the live production for website streaming and video boards. OwlsTV will continue to grow because of his great work."

Previously, Hartkorn served as a multimedia producer for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2014 NFL seasonn, and has also held past video roles with both Temple and Villanova as well as with the Collegiate Water Polo Association.

Among his other responsibilities with the Eagles, Hartkorn served as the lead producer/editor of 'The Week in Review,' 'Story of the Game,' and the daily '360 Update.' He was also the director and technical director of press conferences, and assisted with studio setup and production of "Eagles Gameplan," a TV program on 6ABC.

Raspa is a 2016 graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in mass communication. He is currently pursuing a master's degree from Temple in sport business, and spent the past year with the video services department as a graduate assistant. Raspa is already a familiar face, having helped to produce live video streams for Temple Athletics as well as editing a number of other promotional and highlight videos to engage the Temple fan base.

"Richie spent the past year exceeding every possible expectation we had for him as a graduate extern," said Copp, "and we are thrilled to be able to bring him aboard full-time. He came to Temple with a great base of knowledge from his time at the University of Delaware, and he has demonstrated a high level of skill as both a shooter and editor that will only continue to develop."

While enrolled at Delaware, Raspa served as a multimedia assistant for the Blue Hens' athletics department from August, 2014 until he graduated in May of 2016. He served as a videographer on a team that created a video entitled "Blue Hens Football Pro Day 2015," which was nominated for an EMMY (College/University Student Production).

Raspa's other past experiences include a year and half with the Delaware 87ers as a camera operator, a year with Fox29 as a junior reporter and a year with the UD College of Earth, Ocean & Environment as a digital production intern.
