Women's Soccer Looks For Second Straight Win; Hosts Mount St. Mary's Sunday

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's soccer (2-3-0) will play its third game in a row at home as the Owls take on Mount St. Mary's Sunday, Sept. 3 with a 3:30 p.m. start time. It will be the start of a doubleheader for Temple soccer as the men will play Rider later on at 7:00 p.m.

Scouting the Owls
>The Owls are 2-3 this season after coming off a huge 3-1 victory vs. Rider at home.

>Junior forward Kerri McGinley and freshman midfielder Emma Wilkins currently lead the Owls' in goals (2) and points (4).

>Redshirt senior forward Kayla Cunningham leads the team with two assists, and both have come off corner kicks. Four of the Owls' seven goals this season have been assisted.

>With goalkeeper Morgan Basileo making the first start of her career vs. Rider, the Owls have played 24 out of their 28 players this season, continuing to show how deep the bench is. Seven out of the eight incoming freshmen have seen playing time through the first five games as well.

>Last week, freshman midfielder Julia Dolan was awarded honor roll status by the American Athletic conference. She scored the game-winning goal in overtime over Fairleigh Dickinson, giving the Owls their first win of the season.

>Mount St. Mary's is 3-2-0 to start the season and led by head coach Joe Nemzer who is in his second season with the program.

>Midfielder Jenna West leads the team in goals (4), assist (2), and points (10).

>Redshirt freshman Goalkeeper Maggie Barron has three wins in her first four starts of the season and also has 11 saves.
