BALTIMORE, Md. - Â Under Armour (NYSE: UA, UAA) today announced the roster for the second annual Under Armour Reunion college basketball doubleheader, scheduled to take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. After last year's successful inaugural event, the tradition continues Nov. 30 as Under Armour's marquee collegiate programs hit the hardwood to "Rep the Family."
Â
Year two match-ups of the Under Armour Reunion include Texas Tech versus hometown favorite Seton Hall at 6:30 p.m., followed by Temple versus South Carolina, who is coming off of a 2017 Final Four appearance, at 9:00 p.m..
Â
Tickets, starting at $25, go on sale Thursday, September 21 at 12:00 pm EDT and can be purchased online at www.MSG.com, all Ticketmaster locations, and the Madison Square Garden box office.
Â
"We are excited to be back at the mecca of basketball in the heart of New York City to showcase and support our collegiate basketball programs," said Ryan Drew, Vice President and General Manager, Basketball, Under Armour. "The inaugural year of the UA Reunion had amazing energy both on and off the court, resulting in an upset and buzzer-beater victory that left fans on their feet. We look forward to bringing that energy back to the Garden in 2017 with these great teams."
Â
"We are extremely excited and thankful that once again Under Armour, our partner, has asked us to be a big part of the Under Armour Reunion in a game against Temple at Madison Square Garden," said Frank Martin, Head Coach of South Carolina Men's Basketball. "We look forward to competing against Fran Dunphy, one of our business' best, and his very good Temple Owls basketball team."
Â
"We are looking forward to the challenge of playing South Carolina in one of the most historic arenas in the country – Madison Square Garden," said Fran Dunphy, Temple Men's Basketball Head Coach. "This should be a tremendous doubleheader for college basketball fans and I want to thank Under Armour for including Temple in this event."
Â
"We are proud partners with Under Armour, and the opportunity to showcase our relationship with the innovators of athletics apparel and footwear while competing against other high-level programs associated with the Under Armour brand makes this event special for us. The added bonus of the Reunion taking place at Madison Square Garden, the world's most famous arena which holds a special place in our fans' hearts, makes it a slam dunk for Seton Hall," commented Patrick Lyons, Athletics Director of Seton Hall University.
Â
"Our basketball program is looking forward to competing in the Under Armour Reunion game at Madison Square Garden. This is a tremendous opportunity for our student-athletes to play in a truly historic venue and to experience a great city," noted Kirby Hocutt, Athletics Director of Texas Tech University.Â
Â
The UA Reunion tipped off last December in partnership with Madison Square Garden as the brand's first in-season collegiate basketball double-header featuring four members of Under Armour's collegiate roster. The inaugural Under Armour Reunion featured two thrilling matches featuring Auburn, who fell to Boston College at the final buzzer in the team's first-ever play at MSG. The following game saw Seton Hall defeat the No. 16-ranked South Carolina.
