Women’s Tennis Continues Strong Play in Day Two of Temple Invite

PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's tennis had another strong performance in the second day of the Temple Invite. The team hosted Mount St. Mary's at the TU Pavilion on a crisp, windy afternoon. Day two consisted of a round of doubles followed by a round of singles.
Notes
> The Owls completed another nearly flawless day of competition, as they were perfect in singles and only dropped one hard-fought doubles match against the Mountaineers.
> Alice Patch, Cecilia Castelli and Oyku Boz are undefeated in doubles and singles in the Temple Invite. They have triumphed over Morgan State and Mount St. Mary's opponents. Patch will compete for the green flight singles title on Sunday morning and pair up with Stefaniya Surikova to vie for the white flight doubles crown. Castelli and Boz will form a pair to fight for the black flight doubles title and the blue and purple singles flight titles, respectively.
> Ruoyu Chen downed her Mount St. Mary's opponent in singles play, 6-1, 6-0. Chen will compete for the cherry flight singles title on Sunday.
> Kristina Titova battled hard against Mount St. Mary's Hannah Davis. Titova emerged victorious, 7-5, 7-6 (7-6)
> Oleksandra Doroshenko will also advance to compete for her flight singles title, as she defeated Megan Smith 6-0, 6-3 in the black flight.
