10.3.18 | Women's Tennis
PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's tennis will continue its fall season at the Penn Invite, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The event will feature singles and doubles action and will take place at the Hamlin and Hecht Tennis Centers.
The Owls
> Temple is led by head coach Steve Mauro, who is in his 11th year at the helm of the women's program.
> The Owls finished the 2018 spring season with a 10-8 overall record, going 2-1 in the American and 7-1 at home.
> Temple's team has a new look this year, as five of the nine student-athletes are fresh faces on the Owls' roster. The Owls return veterans Oyku Boz, Cecilia Castelli, Kristina Titova and Alice Patch.
> Last time on the court, the squad competed at Penn's Cissie Leary Invite. The Owls performed well and built up their competition experience in their second contest of the fall season.
From Coach Mauro
> "We are still experimenting with our doubles combinations," said head coach Steve Mauro. "We're working on some different things in practice, so we hope the girls are able to implement those during match play at UPenn. We are looking forwarding to playing in this tournament."

> Matches will start at 10 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Friday will feature one round of singles and two rounds of doubles. Saturday will consist of two rounds of singles and one round of doubles.
