PHILADELPHIA – Temple junior wide receiver Isaiah Wright has been named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for his game against ECU. The award goes to the most versatile player in college football.

Wright helped Temple to a 49-6 win over ECU totaling 192 all-purpose yards on 11 touches. He scored on a 59-yard punt return and a 19-yard reception. Overall he gained 129 on five punt returns, gave the Owls good field position with a 27-yard KOR to start the game, was 3-22-1TD receiving and added two carries for 14 yards as a Wildcat QB.

Two wide receivers and a running back who accounted for seven touchdowns four different ways and led their respective teams to conference wins are named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for week six of the college football season. Joining Wright was Lil'Jordan Humphrey of Texas and RB Kerrith Whyte, Jr. of FAU.

The Paul Hornung Award, now in its ninth season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. This is the Paul Hornung Award's third year as an associate member of the National College Football Awards Association.

The Louisville Sports Commission successfully launched the Paul Hornung Award in 2010 to honor its namesake and native son, and to promote outstanding performances by versatile college football players who often go unnoticed. Each week during the season, a panel of college football experts selects players for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll based on performance. A national selection committee comprised of 17 sports journalists and former NFL stars votes for the Hornung Award finalists and the winner, with fan voting powered by Texas Roadhouse comprising the 18th vote.
