Men's Basketball To Take Part in 2019 AdvoCare Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - The field for the 2019 AdvoCare Invitational was announced today and the Temple Men's Basketball team will be once again be heading to Orlando for Thanksgiving. The Owls will be one of eight teams taking part in the tournament, which begins on Thanksgiving Day 2019 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 1.
Temple, which took part in the 2010 Old Spice Classic in Orlando held over Thanksgiving weekend, will be joined by Davidson, Fairfield, Harvard, Marquette, Maryland, Texas A&M and USC. The three-game tourney will be held at HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports near Orlando, Fla.
Six of the eight teams in the field made the postseason in 2017-18. Texas A&M advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight, while Davidson also reached the NCAA Tournament. Harvard, Marquette, Temple and USC all played in the National Invitational Tournament.
The family-friendly tournament is a weekend-long affair at the Walt Disney World Resort, where participating teams practice, play and enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks.
