Football's Ryquell Armstead Selected to Play in the 2019 Reese's Senior Bowl

PHILADELPHIA - Temple running back Ryquell Armstead has been selected to play in the 2019 Reese's Senior Bowl. Armstead will join fellow Owl CB Rock Ya-Sin at the Senior Bowl. The Reese's Senior Bowl will be held in Mobile, Alabama; at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on January 26, at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NFL Network.
Armstead had a career year for the Owls despite only playing in ten games. With his success this season, he solidified himself as one of the best Temple running backs of all-time. In 2018, Armstead had 210 carries for 1,098 yards and 13 touchdowns. He rushed for 100-yards in four games straight (Buffalo, Maryland, Tulsa, and Boston College) and six total on the season. Armstead had his best game this season in Houston when he had 30 carries for 210 yards and an AAC-record six touchdowns on the way to a 59-49 win against the Cougars. Armstead is third in Temple history with 34 rushing touchdowns and fourth all-time with 2,812 yards. Â
