Football Signs 17 Players in Early Signing Period

PHILADELPHIA (12/19/18) – Today, on college football's Early National Signing Day, the Temple Owls welcomed 17 new student-athletes to the football team.
The early signing class of 2019 sees 17 players signing their NLIs. Additional recruits are expected to sign on Wednesday, February 6.
Those 17 players hail from nine different states as well as one European country –California (1), Delaware (1), Georgia (1), Maryland, (2) Michigan (1), New Jersey (6), New York (1), North Carolina (1), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (1), and Sweden (1).
Victor Stoffel follows in the footsteps of current Temple offensive linemen Isaac Moore and Oskar Andersson, all natives of Sweden. Also born outside of the United States from this class are: Abedimunga (Uganda), Rigby (Turks and Caicos), and Saydee (Liberia).
Mohamad Kamara is the brother of Amara Kamara who played for Temple from 2007-10 and was a captain as a senior.
The 2019 season will get underway on Saturday, August 31, when Temple hosts Bucknell at Lincoln Financial Field. The Owls will also host Maryland (9/14) and Georgia Tech (9/28), and travel to Buffalo (9/21) for their non-conference opponents. UCF and Memphis, who battled for the AAC Championship game in each of the past two seasons, travel to Philadelphia as do UConn and Tulane. Temple will play at Cincinnati, ECU, USF, and SMU to complete its conference slate.
