HARTFORD, Conn. -- #1 UConn downed the Temple women's basketball team, 106-45, on Sunday afternoon. The win improves UConn to 26-0 overall, 13-0 in conference play, while the Owls fall to 10-16, 2-11.

KEYS TO THE GAME
> UConn put up a big first quarter, opening the game on a 15-3 run and not looking back.
> The Huskies shot 63.6% in the first half, en route to a 54-26 halftime advantage.
> A huge third quarter (27-9) created more distance between the teams, before the Huskies finished out the win with a
> UConn shot 61.2% from the field in the game, holding Temple to just 23.8%.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
> Freshman Emani Mayo led the Owls with 17 points.
> Rookie Mia Davis finished with eight points and a team-high six rebounds.
> Senior Tanaya Atkinson and freshman Breanna Perry each added five points with Perry pulling down four rebounds.

FIRST QUARTER
> Though a Mayo three cut the UConn lead to 6-3 early, the Huskies started the game on a 15-3 run.
> Temple got no closer than 12 the rest of the frame, as UConn led 32-13 after one.

SECOND QUARTER
> The Owls opened with a Mayo three and a lay-up from Shantay Taylor to make it 35-18.
> From there, the Huskies put together a 19-8 run to close the half with a 54-26 advantage.

THIRD QUARTER
> UConn outscored Temple 27-9 in the frame, including a 16-3 run in the final four minutes.
> The surge put the Huskies up 81-35 after three.

FOURTH QUARTER
> In the fourth, UConn closed out the win by outscoring Temple, 25-10.
