Latgis, Suzuki and Temple Lacrosse Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

GRAND LAKE, Colo. -  For the 12th year in a row, Temple lacrosse has been recognized as an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). In addition, recent graduates Nicole Latgis and Kaitlin Suzuki were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

In order to be eligible for the individual honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 

In order to qualify for the Zag/IWLCA Academic Honor Squad recognition, teams must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA. In all, 313 schools across Divisions I, II and III earned the honor.
 
Latgis, a kinesiology major who graduated with a 3.54 GPA, was an All-Region Second Team and All-BIG EAST First Team honoree who was also recently named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Lacrosse Team. Suzuki earned her degree in early childhood education and posted a 3.71 GPA.
