#2 UConn Tops Women's Basketball 88-67

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team fell to visiting UConn, 88-67, at the Liacouras Center on Saturday afternoon. The #2 Huskies improved to 16-1 overall, 5-0 in conference play, while Temple fell to 4-13, 0-5 in The American.
Keys to the Game
> UConn outscored Temple 42-25 in the first half, shooting 48% from the field.
> Temple cut the lead to 14 late in the third quarter, but the Huskies outscored the Owls, 22-17 in the fourth to finish out the game.
> UConn shot 48.5% (32-66) from the field and 28% (7-25) from long range, while Temple finished at 41.5% (27-65) from the field but just 20.8% (5-24) from three.
