10.14.19 | Women's Soccer
PHILADELPHIA– The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and sophomore midfielder Hailey Gutowski was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for her stellar performance in the Temple's contests against SMU and Houston this past week. This is her second honor roll selection of the season.
Gutowski has been a strong offensive presence for the Cherry and White, as she leads the team with 10 points on the season (4g, 2a). She scored the ultimate game-winner against Houston in the 71st minute when she collected a deflected save and buried it in the back of the net. The sophomore completed her first collegiate brace in the 78th minute to propel the Owls to a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. The Cinnaminson, N.J. native doubled her season goal total after Sunday's explosive performance that resulted in the team's second conference win.
Next up, the Owls will head south for a two-game conference road trip to Florida that will begin at No. 23 UCF on Thursday, Oct. 17. Kickoff for the AAC battle is set for 6 p.m.
