Rose Leads Men's Basketball to 66-53 Win Over Davidson

ORLANDO - Bouncing back from its first halftime deficit of the season, the Temple men's basketball team earned a 66-53 victory over Davidson in the fifth-place game of the Orlando Invitational. Senior Quinton Rose came up big for the Owls, posting his first double-double of the season (14 points, 11 rebounds) and falling one rebound shy of the program's second triple-double in history. 

With the win, Temple improves to 6-1 on the season. Rose was named to the Orlando Invitational All-Tournament Team following his impressive tournament performance.

Game Summary
> The Owls had a strong second half, holding the Wildcats to just 20 points.
> Rose had a career-high nine assists and tied his career-high in rebounds with 11.
> De'Vondre Perry had a team-high two steals while the defense forced 13 turnovers.
> Eight Owls put points on the board, with 21 points coming from the bench.
> Davidson had three players score in double-figures. Forward Luka Brajkovic led both teams with 16 points.

First Half
> Temple started off slow, putting the first two points on the board before trailing until the last minute of the half.
> The Owls shot 39 percent from the field (13-33), sinking just three threes on 11 attempts.
> Nate Pierre-Louis led the offensive effort in the first half, scoring eight points and four rebounds.
> Carter Collins led the way for the Wildcats, scoring 10 points on three field goals and two free throws.
> Temple fought back from an eight-point deficit to go ahead 30-27 before Davidson drained two threes to take the lead at halftime. 

Second Half
> The Owls came out of halftime on fire, outscoring the Wildcats 17-6 in the first eight minutes.
> Davidson scored just 12 points through the first 15 minutes of the half before scoring the final two points on free throws.
> Temple also went 13-of-33 in the second half, shooting 33 percent from behind the arc.
> Two Owls made five field goals, with Pierre-Louis' 15 points leading the team.

Next Up
> Temple returns home for three of its next four games. The Owls will host Missouri on Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. for its second SEC matchup of the season, with the game set to be televised on ESPNU.
