Football's Shaun Bradley Wins Brooks-Irvine Player of the Year Award

PHILADELPHIA – Monday night the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club of South Jersey awarded Temple senior linebacker Shaun Bradley with the Brooks-Irvine Division 1 College Player of the Year Award at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, N.J. The Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club honors student athletes, coaches, schools, community members, and all of those who support the great game of football in southern New Jersey.

Bradley played running back and linebacker at Rancocas Valley High before taking his talents to Broad Street. The now senior, is finishing his final season at Temple and made a statement in the process. The Mt. Holly native was the team's leading tackler, with 80 stops, for the second time in three seasons. He also added 8.0 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Bradley was named to the first team All-AAC among other accolades he received throughout the season. Following the Military Bowl vs. North Carolina, Bradley will have played 50 games in Cherry & White and 13 games in each of the last three seasons. This is the second season in a row an Owl has taken home the Division 1 player of the year honors. Current Jacksonville Jaguars RB and Millville, N.J., native Ryquell Armstead was presented the award last year. Temple offensive linemen Eric Lofton and Shahbaz Ahmed were the co-award winners in 2015.
