Women’s Tennis Hosts La Salle Wednesday Morning

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's tennis (2-1) is set to host La Salle on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Legacy Tennis Center. Competition is slated to begin at 7:30 a.m.
The Owls
> The team is led by head coach Steve Mauro, who is in his 11th year at the helm of the women's program.
> Temple last competed on Jan. 26 against Binghamton. The Owls swept the Bearcats, defeating them 5-0 at the Legacy Tennis Center. The duo of Alice Patch and Oyku Boz came out firing for the Owls, as they blanked their Bearcat opponents 8-0 to earn the doubles point. The squad continued its dominance in singles play. Junior Chunan Xiang finished up first, defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-3. Kristina Titova wrapped up next with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in her contest. Stefaniya Surikova and Ruoyu Chen rounded out the competition for the team, both notching wins for the Owls.

> La Salle is led by Chad Hamilton, who is in his second year as head coach of the Explorers.
> Last time out, La Salle faced Towson on Sunday, Feb. 3. The Tigers swept the Explorers, defeating them 4-0.
