Women’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's soccer head coach Seamus O'Connor announced the team's spring schedule on Friday afternoon. The Owls look to capitalize on their strong fall season and offseason training with five spring contests.
"This is an important spring season for us as we look to build on the success of the fall season when we made it back to the American Athletic Conference tournament," said O'Connor. "We graduated some key players and now need to see who will step up to replace them. This is a talented group and they are putting in a lot of hard work in the weight room and on the practice field this offseason. I am looking forward to watching them play in these games. We wanted a very difficult spring schedule to challenge these players and to find out who we can look to build the team around in the fall. These are all great games against very good teams and are an important step for us as we look to achieve our goal of winning the American Athletic Conference."
Temple's spring slate includes one home game and four of the five contests will take place in Philadelphia. The squad will open up the season on Friday, March 22 when they host Delaware at 6:30 p.m.
The Owls will compete in the City 6 Tournament, hosted by Villanova, on Saturday, March 30. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the tournament will feature four round robin games that will consist of one 40-minute period each. Temple will play four matches, facing Villanova at 8:30 a.m., Penn at 9:15 a.m., La Salle at 10:45 a.m. and Saint Joseph's at 11:30 a.m.
The team will head to Villanova to face the Wildcats at 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 7. The Owls will be back in action on Friday, April 12 against Princeton at 7 p.m. Temple will wrap up its spring schedule across town at Penn on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m.
