PHILADELPHIA—Temple women's tennis (3-1) is set to host Fairleigh Dickinson (2-2) on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Legacy Tennis Center. Competition is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
The Owls
> The team is led by head coach Steve Mauro, who is in his 11th year at the helm of the women's program.
> Last time out, Temple dominated La Salle on Wednesday, Feb. 13, sweeping the Explorers 7-0 at the Legacy Tennis Center. The Owls were a force in doubles, conceding only one game to the Explorers. The pairs of Kristina Titova/Stefaniya Surikova and Ruoyu Chen/Chunan Xiang each downed their opponents 6-0, and Oyku Boz/Alice Patch came out on top 6-1. Temple's momentum carried over to singles, as the team earned victories in all six matches. Surikova finished up first at third singles, blanking her opponent. At sixth singles, Cecilia Castelli downed her opponent and the match was decided after Oleksandra Doroshenko's win at fifth singles. Xiang came out on top at fourth singles, Chen won at first singles and Titova rounded off the undefeated day with a victory in the second spot.
