Schedule Change: Lacrosse Returns Home to Host Lafayette on Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA - After three straight road games, Temple lacrosse returns home to host Lafayette (2-0) at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The Owls (1-3) are looking to get back on track after back-to-back losses, while the Leopards have earned two decisive wins to start the year. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25, but has been moved due to a forecast of extremely high winds.

Scouting Temple
> The Owls are 1-3 so far and coming off a 17-8 loss at city rival Saint Joseph's on Thursday. Two weeks ago, Temple split road games with a 12-10 come-from-behind road win at Rutgers and a 16-7 loss at #8 Princeton.
> Junior Olivia Thompson exploded for a career-high six goals in the Rutgers win and was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Junior Maddie Gebert also notched a hat trick in that victory with three goals.
> Sophomore Bridget Whitaker tallied her second career hat trick at Saint Joseph's, leading Temple with three goals.
> Gebert has scored eight goals to lead Temple overall, while Thompson is right behind her with seven and junior Julia Ryan has five.
> Junior Kara Nakrasius has a team-best 20 draw controls while senior Amber Lambeth has 14 draws and a team-best five caused turnovers along with sophomore Courtney Taylor.
> The Owls played strong defense but struggled to score in a 7-4 season-opening loss to Delaware on Feb. 8. The game was knotted at 3-3 before the Blue Hens took over in the latter part of the first half, and Delaware's goalkeeper made 20 saves to thwart Temple offensively.
> Temple had a tough first half at #8 Princeton and was unable to recover in the second. Gebert led the Owls with two goals against the Tigers.
> Gebert was the Owls' leading scorer with 33 goals in 2018 and was named to the Preseason All-American Athletic Conference Team along with Lambeth and Nakrasius.
> Four team captains have been chosen to lead the Owls in 2019: seniors Kelsea Hershey, Lambeth and Thompson along with junior Nakrasius.
> Last year's Owls went 9-8 overall, achieving their fourth straight winning season.
> Head coach Bonnie Rosen, now in her 13th season, earned her 100th win at Temple when the Owls beat Lafayette, 18-15 on Feb. 25, 2018.

> Sophomore goalkeeper Quinn Lacy allowed just one goal in the 18-1 rout, making 11 saves. She made seven more saves in the Iona win.
