WASHINGTON, D.C.—Temple women's tennis (5-1) blanked Howard on Saturday afternoon, downing the Bison (1-6) 7-0.
Notes
> Temple improved to 5-1 with today's victory over Howard. This win also marks the team's third sweep of the season.
> The Owls earned the doubles point with wins from Stefaniya Surikova and Kristina Titova, Oyku Boz and Yining Tian and Oleksandra Doroshenko and Cecilia Castelli. Surikova and Titova are an undefeated 5-0 as a pair.
> The squad was dominant in singles as well, winning all six matches. Titova defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1 in the number one spot and Chunan Xiang came out on top at second singles. Doroshenko and Castelli won at third and fourth singles, respectively, and victories from Alice Patch and Tian rounded out the sweep for the Owls.
