Gebert and Whitaker Named to AAC Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For their efforts in a 2-0 week for Temple lacrosse, junior Maddie Gebert and sophomore Bridget Whitaker were both named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Gebert, an attacker, recorded hat tricks in both wins for the Owls, scoring three goals in a 13-10 win at La Salle and a season-high four goals in a 16-12 win at UMBC. She tallied the game-winning goal in both contests.
Whitaker, a midfielder, tied for the Temple lead in total points in the UMBC win, adding three assists to two goals for five points. She scored her two goals on just three shots on goal and made her only free-position shot. Whitaker led the Owls with four caused turnovers in the win while also recording two draws and two ground balls.
The Owls (3-4) are back in action hosting Boston University today, Tuesday, March 12.
