PHILADELPHIA— Temple men's tennis (9-6, 2-1 AAC) took down conference foe ECU, 4-2, on Saturday morning at the TU Pavilion. With this victory, the Owls went undefeated in their four-match home stretch.
Match Notes
> The pair of Uladzimir Dorash and Paolo Cucalon came out on top at third doubles, besting their ECU opponents, 6-2. The duo improved to 9-3 on the season. ECU earned the doubles point with wins on the first and second courts.
> Temple rallied after conceding the doubles point, winning four of five singles matches to earn the conference victory.
> Dorash defeated his opponent in the No. 4 spot to tie the Owls and Pirates at one apiece. A win from Juan Araoz on the fifth court put Temple up, 2-1.
> Eric Biscoveanu continued the momentum, taking the decision at sixth singles to increase the Owls' advantage.
> ECU took third singles, but Alberto Caceres Casas outlasted the Pirates' Diogo Marques in a three-set contest to clinch the match for the Owls.
