Men’s Tennis Heads to Oral Roberts on Friday, Tulsa on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA—Temple men's tennis (9-6, 2-1 AAC) will hit the road this weekend as the squad travels to Oklahoma to take on Oral Roberts (5-8, 1-2 Summit) and Tulsa (13-10, 1-2 AAC). The Owls will face the Golden Eagles at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center on Friday, April 5 at 4 p.m. On Sunday, April 7, Temple will compete against the Golden Hurricane at noon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The Owls
> The team is led by head coach Steve Mauro, who is in his 13th year at the helm of the men's program.
> Temple has won four-straight, going undefeated in its four-match home stretch. Last time out, Temple defeated AAC opponent ECU, 4-2, at the TU Pavilion. The doubles pair of Uladzimir Dorash and Paolo Cucalon notched a win for the Owls and Dorash, Eric Biscoveanu, Juan Araoz and Alberto Caceres Casas were victorious in singles.
> The doubles team of Casas and Mark Wallner and Dorash and Cucalon have been strong for Temple. Casas and Wallner hold an 11-3 record at first doubles. Dorash and Cucalon are 9-3 on the season playing in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
> In singles, Wallner and Cucalon have been impressive, owning 11-2 and 9-3 records, respectively. Casas is 7-5, with a stellar 5-0 record in the No. 1 spot.

Scouting Oral Roberts
> Oral Roberts is led by Mark Milner, who is in his sixth year as head coach of the Golden Eagles.
> The team is 5-8 this season and 1-2 in the Summit League. Oral Roberts last competed on Monday, April 1 against John Brown, winning 7-0.
> Temple and Oral Roberts last met in 2017. The two teams met in Tulsa, where the Owls downed the Golden Eagles, 4-2.

Scouting Tulsa
> Head Coach Vince Westbrook has led the Golden Hurricane for 28 seasons.
> The squad is ranked No. 47 in the nation and has amassed a 13-10 record this season, going 1-2 in the AAC. Last time out, Tulsa defeated AAC opponent Memphis in a tight match, 4-3.
> The Golden Hurricane and the Owls last met in 2017. Tulsa edged Temple, 5-2.
